Foghat continues to captivate fans of all ages with their timeless music.  The band is still touring relentlessly, performing with an energy that radiates youthful exuberance, regardless of age.

Their latest album, Sonic Mojo, released on November 10, 2023, brings the band full circle, celebrating their blues roots since their formation after leaving Savoy Brown in 1971.

The release holds special meaning for founding member Roger Earl, featuring three tracks co-written by the late Kim Simmonds, who gave Roger his start in music with Savoy Brown in 1967.

Sadly, Simmonds passed away shortly after writing these songs, making them an important tribute.

Sonic Mojo has received praise from fans and critics alike, for its fresh, vibrant sound, even after fifty-three years. With Scott Holt, formerly of Buddy Guy's band, on soulful vocals and bluesy guitar, Bryan Bassett’s electrifying slide guitar and Rodney O’Quinn’s tasteful bass, the album captures the essence of Foghat’s blues-rock history.

Blending favorite blues standards with six original tracks, Sonic Mojo revives the spirit of the blues with Foghat's unmistakable groove, standing as a fitting tribute to a band that has endured for over 50 years."

What People Are Saying

Defenders of the Faith - Joe Miller

“...At the end of the day, Sonic Mojo is a Foghat album through and through. Their mere existence in the year 2023 isn’t just a testament to the music the original lineup created half a century ago, but to the power of rock n’ roll. It’s about sticking to your guns, cranking it loud, and approaching everything in life with a healthy dose of Sonic Mojo.”

Rock & Blues Muse - Stephen Guppy

“With this latest album, Roger Earl and his gang of rock and roll outlaws have brought Foghat’s trajectory full circle. After an incredible fifty-three years of rawkin’ and rollin’ and more personnel changes than a UK cabinet shuffle, these road warriors—old and new—can still sound fresh and exciting. Time may slip away, but blues music is always relevant and always will be. Fans of British blues-rock will find Sonic Mojo a satisfying addition to their collections.”

Front Row Report - Reggie Edwards

“From the open of “She’s A Little Bit Of Everything,” into “I Don’t Appreciate You” to “Mean Woman Blues” and “Drivin’ On,” the the record is a pure jam session and it feels like the band went into a room, plugged in and just recorded what came out. It’s a hell of a fun listen.”

“While Foghat doesn’t reinvent the wheel here, they keep it simple and do what works for them and they’ve created one of the strongest records of their 50-plus-year recording career.”

Vintagerock.com - Jason Young

“Throughout the record, the band is on fire. Bassett’s guitar work steadily weaves itself throughout each song while Holt’s soulful vocal delivery adds to each lyric. Holding down the rhythm section, Earl and O’Quinn are unstoppable, providing a solid backbeat.  Sonic Mojo is a testament to Foghat’s longevity delivering roots-driven rock n roll that satisfies.”
