“Happy Sad” by Roger Argenis

CATEGORY CHANGE:  NEW CATEGORY IS:

BEST POP/ROCK ALBUM

My dear friends,

I’m very excited to share about my culture & influences as an artist through my first solo album, “Happy Sad”, which was born out of my need to showcase experiences I’ve kept hidden away for so long.

The songs on this album are a fusion of several genres that define what I currently listen to and denote everything I’m living through in my personal life, as well as musically.

Furthermore, I’m incredibly grateful and blessed to have had the support of an amazingly talented and artistic team during this creative process. Minds like: Juan Arellano, David Longoria, Lucky Diaz, and Robert Eibach we’re part of this team and their support was vital to me.

Artist Bio

Roger Argenis collaborates with great friends in his first solo album “HAPPY SAD”

Business man, music producer, manager and singer Roger Argenis spoke about his debut solo album titled “Happy Sad” that just premiered across all digital platforms in May 2023 with plans to release the album in physical format soon.

“Happy Sad” was born out of the need to launch an album as a solo artist for Roger. “Throughout my musical career, outside of producing, I’ve been able to collaborate with bands with which I’ve had the opportunity to reach many of the dreams I’ve had since I was young. At this time though, I felt that it was the perfect moment to look inward and be able to express things that I had kept hidden for a very long time. At a personal level, I consider myself an introvert but I think it was the right moment to let it all out on this album.”

Roger stated that the name of the album came about in a photo shoot in El Paso, TX. “We were joking around when we started to draw happy and sad faces all over the pictures. Realistically, it’s a duality that all humans experience, being happy and sad simultaneously. Nowadays, mental health is such an open subject, which I think is extraordinary. We said to each other, we’re always “Happy Sad”. I personally feel this way every day, there’s good days, and bad days and I think that having that awareness is normal. It’s been cathartic to me to understand how I work, and which moments I should focus on taking full advantage of to take action and which moments I should take a break and give myself time to recharge and continue onward.
